Two Spirit people are not only accepted in most traditional Indigenous communities, but also honored. Yaqui artist, Michael Horse, painted this image, Two Spirit Love, to honor our relatives who have had the strength to defy the colonizer's attempts to harm and diminish them, as well as force them into binary relationships for hundreds of years. We honor their courage and bravery with this image.
